The INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF SOSUA (ISS) is a fully accredited, co-educational, non-sectarian, private Infants-Grade 12 day school located on the sunny north coast of the Dominican Republic. The current student body is around 250 students and there are roughly 40 members on our educational team. ISS is its own unique cozy community with students coming from 25+ different nationalities. The core curriculum leads to a US diploma and is taught entirely in English by certified educators of various nationalities. All students also take Spanish language and Dominican Social Studies courses each year of school.
The school is situated on a beautiful 10 acres of farmland and houses classroom clusters amidst tropical palm trees, many plants and an organic garden. Recently upgraded facilities include an engineering center, library, martial arts dojo, a science lab and cafeteria/multi-purpose building. Our athletic complex consists of a large covered multi-use court, an outdoor volleyball/basketball court and a soccer field.
